Tattoo ideas that symbolize freedom/independence?

I am wanting to get a tattoo (on my inner wrist/both wrists) that symbolizes freedom/independence. I%26#039;m looking for either a single word, a phrase or an image.





Please don%26#039;t suggest anything American, any Japanese/Chinese symbols or butterflies.

How about crossed weapons like swords or rifles. Or maybe some kind of snake or dragon wrapped around a flag. Or an eagle on a Harley.

Reply:the sparrow is a good suggestion, or else a robin. they are cute little birds and very hardy and tough, they dont migrate to warm countries in the winter, they stick out and survive the cold and snow. very independant, and free. and cute
