Parents won't let me shave?

My parents won%26#039;t let me shave! Even my mom doesn%26#039;t touch a razor. I have been doing it some behind their backs, but really it is just hygiene. I don%26#039;t understand why not to?

But i can%26#039;t imagine not shaving my armpits, because it just gets too smelly otherwise. My parents let me, but my friends parents said that she could only shave her armpits

if not...go hippie...its much more of a reason not to shave! and i cant really think of a reason not to shave...unless ur scared of razors, dont wanna take the time or effort...or...like i said...if ur a hippie!

but i never really asked my parents before i started to shave behind their backs. i took one of my dads razors for keeps, haha.


you shoudl talk to them about it. tell them you feel uncomfortable %26amp; you really want to shave, since you already do, it%26#039;s to late!


when my mom found out that i shaved, she went out %26amp; bought me shaving stuff! this was like in 7th grade
Reply:my mum was like that when i was younger and i really wanted to start shaving so she eventually let me use hair removal cream. according to parents its not as bad as shaving. but i say go ahead and shave, you will feel better about your body!

Reply:well could you ask them if they would let you wax... it thins out the hair and so eventually you wont have to do any hair removal what so ever. try to explain to your parents why you want to shave. oh and there is laser hair removal but that%26#039;s expensive and your hair needs to be dark for it to work.

its like in our place, when there%26#039;s a funeral at a house...


they say you should not clean the house.. when I asked why, their answer is %26quot;its not good, its evil%26quot; they say...


that%26#039;s their only answer... they can%26#039;t explain whats bad about it..





i asked a lot about our traditions... like their symbol..


still they don%26#039;t have a definite answer to why there are things you shouldn%26#039;t do, even though its convenient...





no matter what they say, you still be the final decision..=)
Reply:There%26#039;s no reason not to. Hair is natural, but if you%26#039;re like most girls you%26#039;ll want to shave simply because of the look, and for me it does just feel cleaner. I%26#039;d keep shaving, it is your body and shaving is not dangerous in the least. It can%26#039;t hurt you.
Reply:My mom didn%26#039;t allow me to shave at all until I was 14, I%26#039;m 25 now. Generally hair on the legs and under the armpits are barely even noticeable at a young age, even in the early teens. When we are young we want to do what other people do, I know because when I was 12 I wanted to shave but really the hair wasn%26#039;t even noticeable, I just wanted to because the older girls were shaving. I%26#039;m sure that in a year or two that they will start letting you. Tell your parents that the kids at your school are making fun of your unshaved legs if you are so concerned about it. Maybe they will let you if people are noticing and it makes you embarrassed or just go on ahead and shave them without telling them, but be careful to not cut your legs because your parents may notice.

Reply:May be your parents think you are too small.But you have to make them understand..All you need is to make them understand how yuck it looks.
